Started with the cloth.
Before there is a shirt, a dress or a kurta, there is the cloth. Cotton. Khadi. Linen. Chanderi. Woven slowly, carrying the slight irregularities and character that only human hands leave behind.
We design around them. Then come the details — an unexpected stitch, a tiny piece of embroidery, an unusual cuff. Something sitting quietly where you might not expect it. Because the best clothes deserve a second look.

Small runs.
We begin with a cloth we love, not a number to produce. When that cloth is finished, we usually move on.
Which means the Studio 1311 piece in your wardrobe may belong to a very small family. We rather like that.
